Design Significance: This proposal for the Beirut Museum of Art prioritizes reflection over haste, emphasizing patience and groundwork. Instead of rushing to establish a conventional museum, it advocates for clearing space—conceptually and physically—for a more inclusive, context-aware framework. “Stage 0” serves as a prelude, awaiting the conditions and collaborations necessary to do justice to Lebanon’s modern and contemporary arts.
